Cook mode
Cooking from it is the nice part.
The screen stays awake. Timers sit inline in the steps, one tap away, so you're not hunting for a clock with wet hands. Cooking for six instead of four? The amounts rescale themselves.
Organise
And it keeps itself in order.
Group recipes into cookbooks, tag them, rate them, and search the collection — including searches like "chicken without peanuts". Ingredients go to the grocery list in one tap, where duplicates merge and everything sorts by aisle. The pantry tracks what you already have, shows which of your recipes you can make with it, and warns you before things expire.
On-device AI
The AI runs on your phone.
Not on a server somewhere. Cookin can rewrite a recipe to be healthier, find a substitute for something you're missing, write a new recipe from a couple of words, or answer questions about your own collection — and all of it executes on your device. Tell it your allergies once and it remembers. Turn on airplane mode and everything still works.
On phones that can't run the model, those features fall back to a rules engine rather than quietly sending your recipes somewhere.
